Leveraging their expertise in data science and Python development, the DataCraft team successfully integrated the Huawei charging system with Rightel's OTRS ticketing system. Initially, charging data was extracted via SNMP Traps and, utilizing Python libraries such as Pandas, the data was cleansed, normalized, and transformed into a format suitable for the Zabbix system. Subsequently, the automated ticket creation process within OTRS was implemented using the OTRS APIs and the Requests library in Python. This process encompasses the detection of charging errors, their categorization, and the routing of tickets to the relevant groups within OTRS. This integration has resulted in a reduced response time for charging-related issues and improved accuracy in their logging and tracking.

To achieve more comprehensive monitoring of the Huawei charging system, the DataCraft team employed Rightel's existing Zabbix monitoring system. By configuring the Huawei devices to send SNMP Traps upon the occurrence of errors or alarms related to charging, Zabbix was enabled to receive and process this information. Then, using Python scripts and the Zabbix API, monitoring graphs are generated, referred to, and displayed to the relevant teams. Furthermore, Zabbix dashboards were created using SNMP data, in addition to Huawei FTP files, to provide operations teams with a complete view of the charging system's status, resource utilization, and overall performance. This proactive monitoring approach enables the identification and resolution of issues before they impact users.
